Three of the members of the Groningen Poetry Stanza will read their poetry during ‘Dichters in de Prinsentuin’, the annual poetry festival in Groningen (July 8,9 & 10). Just like last year, the festival will be in Hortus Botanicus in Haren. Ferdinand Lewis, Judith Wilkinson and Cecile Bol are part of the program. All three will read their work on Saturday the 9th of July as part of ‘Dichtbij’: unexpected and surprising poetry readings between the trees, shrubs and flowers. What a setting! The Groningen Poetry Stanza is proud to congratulate our member Cecile Bol for her poetry debut, Fold Me a Fishtail, published by Selcouth Station Press. Please join us on the evening of Thursday the 12th of May to celebrate her creative milestone. Cecile will read poetry from her book and of course it will be possible to buy a copy. Several other members of our poetry group will also read some of their work. A perfect opportunity to enjoy English poetry written in the Groningen area!

Sunday the 30th of January through Friday the 25th of February the walls of Literary Café De Graanrepubliek in Groningen will be filled with poetry by several poets of the Groningen Poetry Stanza. The exhibition is a great opportunity to enjoy English poetry written in the Groningen area. Maybe it will even inspire you to join us sometime with your own work?
